Station Manager's Message
Dear LCTV Viewers, In our 28th year, we thank you for your continued support. Please feel free to contact me and let me know what you like or dislike about your community access station at anytime.
I just want to update you on the entire idea of what an access station is. The idea which began in this country some 45 years ago was to mandate the “new” cable television systems of the day to provide a local community cable channel to provide a venue for the members of said community to have an outlet to “air” their views and opinions on just about anything. The franchisee would supply monies to support these channels, equipment and a small staff to teach the public of said community to learn how to produce programs and use the public channel to cablecast their programs. That is still how it is today and we at LCTV invite all Longmeadow cable subscribers to participate in this adventure!
